Details: This Beach House in Powers Lake was owned and operated by Al Capone in 1934. Records show that this house was used to smuggle alcohol. It was also believed that this house was used as his hideout, tavern and a prostitute parlor. Present day owner is currently gutting and remodeling the house. This is what has been heard and seen during the remodeling of the house:

1) footsteps walking

2) slammed door

3) shadow person

4) little girls doll that re-appeared from nowhere.

Findings: During this investigation WPI had not captured any audio, photographs or video of paranormal evidence. When asked if any team members had any personal, paranormal experiences while investigating, the answer was "no".

However, the previous week WPI conducted a walk-through. Jay, Allen & Katie were all standing within 7 feet of each other (like a triangle) at the bottom of a spiral staircase. Jay was using the armband DVR and taking pictures with the Nikon. Allen was also taking pictures and Katie was taking EMF Readings. Since Katie was pregnant, her legs were getting tired and she chose to sit down right by the spiral staircase. At this time our Sony DVR (Digital Voice Recorder), was able to capture an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena). Though the EVP is not 100% understandable and we cannot make out the language, we have determined that the EVP is not part of the natural surroundings in which it was captured. Conclusion: WPI believes there is some paranormal activity within the house itself. We would like to re-visit this Beach House in the future for another investigation.
